AMY AND THE RAINBOW BIRD is the story of 8–year old Amy Landon, who, after the loss of her father and sister in an accident, lives with her mother in a little house on a small peninsula. I find Amy and the Rainbow bird a very well written and sweet novel about young Amy and her adventures in her colorful universe. Eight year old Amy is an exceptionally warm hearted kid, and part of the fascination with this book is to take part in her loving and alert personality and the way she views the world and the struggles and victories she goes through. The author has a good eye for details and depicts Amy’s adventures in a most vivid way. An easy to read and feelgood book, much recommended.
